The hare-park is another field in Violet-Hill where the hares were kept for the coursing matches.
Near the turn-Pike is a lane called Toinriabac Boosheen, it is a short cut from Urlingford on to the Kilkenny road. It has lately been repaired by the County Council board of works. It is a good two miles in length. There are a few farmers houses situated on it. They are Walshes, Cassidys, Smiths, and Daltons. They all go under the title of the race-course. The lane starts from the Urlingford road at the lodge now inhabited by Brodericks and joins the Kilkenny road at Kirwans.- Collector
