Local Cures.
Long ago the people had cures for all ailments.
To cure a strain the person with the strain had to get it rubbed by some person that had the cure.
The cure for a toothache was to bite the teeth of a corpse or lick the leg of a frog.
To cure rickets a person had to bring the child to the forge and put it over the anvil by the smith three times.
A person with the whooping cough had to drink the milk left by a ferret or three charities from a woman,who did not change her name at her marriage.
