  1. Piseóg
Once upon a time there was a farmer who had a number of good cows. During the summertime when the cows were out in the fields by night he noticed that they had hardly any milk in the morning. He decided to find out the cause of it. One morning he went out at about four o'clock and he carried a shotgun with him. When he reached the field he saw a hare sucking one of the cows. He fired at her and wounded her. She ran away and went into an old house. The farmer followed her and when he went into the house he saw an old hag dying inside. She cursed him and she said that he would be dead in a year from that day and this came to pass as she had foretold.
