- There was a mill at Carrunahone and the people thought if they could get water from a lake in the mountain it would have more power in working the mill. They went to the lake Cuáinín Piaist : and when they reached it they saw a huge fire near the mill. They descended but there was no fire when they got down. This happened three times, and they took it as a warning not to let the water from the lake. They discovered after that if they did the lake would overflow & destroy the whole countryside.
