  1. About 50 years ago there lived a woman in a certain house in Cooleanig. She was the mother of one child. She got sick, a kind a kind of lingering slow sickness. She was in bed day after day. in a dying way her father was the most that used to be minding her.
One night he thought that she would die. He was laid back in a chair. His eyes were closed and the sick woman thought he was asleep. She jumped out of the bed and went over to a small table where there was a timber mug filled with curds.
She lapped it up like a pig and stole back to bed again worse looking than she was before. Her father saw what she did and he never stirred.
Next day a little old woman came in and she told her father that he would soon get his own daughter back again.
