  1. (continued from previous page)
The meadows bloom & roses blow
    The chequered slopes adorning
While in the covert lies the hare
    So timid & so canny
    When moonbeams kiss fresh dewdrops
    On the hills oer Kilmoganny
The sunny hills - the bonny hills
    The Hills oer Kilmoganny
My thoughts retreat to bygone days
To my old friends so light-hearted
Whom I so fondly think of still
    Tho from me long departed
How sad these parting looks of love
    From them Im never free
No more those friends of old will see
    The Hill oer Kilmoganny
The balmy hills - the breezy hills
    The Hills oer Kilmoganny
Now I'm happy in my home
    Beside a river's border
Where beats a faithful heart for me
    And busy hands keep order
Beloved as when I won my bride
When cares I had not many
    When summer breezes murmured
    To the Hills oer Kilmoganny
The dear old hills - the love-linked hills
    The Hills oer Kilmoganny
