  1. About a hundred years ago there was an old school built in this field known as the New Park. It was in this field that the ruins of the old village were rooted up. The old school was situated in the end of this field where a man by the name of Butler was school master
    The castle which I have heretofore mentioned which was situated north of the old church was owned by a Mr Purcell a rich gentleman, who owned many castles around here, one was situated in land occupied by a Mr Tynan in Conahy Rocks
