Who dare run down old Ireland ¶ When Irishmen are near...

    (continued from previous page)
    3
Oh remember Tara Irishmen, where they fought hand to hand.
Think on the walls round Derry town
How firmly they do stand. When our Irish boys like demans bright. In spendour they were seen. And their cry was death or victory.
    To save the shamrock green.
Oh then remember all the Irish blood.
That was shed round wexford cross
And of their wives and children
    We often feel their loss
But their minds were pure and their hearts were brave.
And in them there was no spleen.
For their hearts blood sprinkled o'er the soil
    That reared the Shamrock green.
Oh then remember all the deeds.
    Our Irish boys have done
Oh then remember all the fame
    Our Irish courage won
And we have got that courage yet
Though in ragget coats we are seen
    Our hearts are still warm
