"Cruit Abann" is situated in one of Mr,Stevenson's fields at Derylamogue, "Cruit Abann" meand the Crooked river, About a hundred years ago a battle was fought in that field between the Fenians and their English enemies. The Fenians were defeated and there is the remains of an old Rát there still.It is over the drain in which they fought and in this "Rát" the men that were killed in the battle were buried.The water in the drain was res with the blood shed,and it flowed down the river and under the bridge
