The Fairy Hill is also called Raheen Hill. A miller named Coffey lived near the Fairy Hill long ago,and with the Rath and Coffey,Rathcoffey got its name. The Danes had a fort at the Fairy Hill for a time. Pagans were buried on the Hill years ago. Tourists came every year in the Summer to see the Rath. There is also a tunnel from the Blur Bridge to the Fairy Hill, and from various houses that have built up windows. The Fairies went along the tunnels to torment the people and one window had to be built up.
