- (continued from previous page)The big people also like to have a bonfire. They light it at ten and end it at four or five o'clock in the morning. They have a melodeon or a violin and they play grand music. When they are going home they bring a couple of lighted sods with them. Some take them into the house and others throw them in the land. The bonfire is lit in honour of St John.
