- (continued from previous page)The man who dreamt of it was supposed to spread the white cloth on the ground beside him and when the enchanted eel should appear, he would roll on to the cloth and die there. Then he could unearth the treasure without any trouble.
Since then nobody has even tried to find the gold. Now there is a white-thorn bush growing beside the rock under which it is hidden, It is easy to know this field as there is only one bush growing in the centre, and the field itself is triangular in shape. The huge rock under which it is hidden is very noticeable and can be seen from a distance. - About twenty yards from my home is a field, the property of Mrs. Gilligan. In it is a large rock which marks the place where a large quantity of gold is hidden. It is supposed to have been buried there since the time of the Danes. Once an attempt was made to unearth this treasure but all efforts where in vain. A man named Moran dreamed of it three nights in succession.
