  1. Alhtough doctors are considered the best means of restoring health in times of sickness, still many people have remedies which they adopt, such as the following cures:-
    Headache - Bathe the feet in hot water and mustard. Strong tea is also good for a headache.
    Tootache - Put a small drop of Whisky into the mouth. Very hot or cold water is also recommended for a tootache.
    Warts - Rub a black snail to the wart and then put the snail on a bush, and as the snail is withering, the wart is disappearing.
    Earache - The wool of a black sheep and a little olive oil placed in the ear.
    Wildfire - Rub a gold ring around the wildfire or the seventh son of a family to rub his finger
