- Care of the farm animals 6-9-38The list of farm animals is the cow, horse, ass and calves. We have four cows and an ass, and seven calves. We call each animal a different name namely Giblin because she was bought from a man named Giblin. Strawberry, because she is red and white like a strawberry. Then two more one of which is black and the other blue, we call them the Black One and the Blue One. The cows have a house of their own in the house there is a rock for each cow. At night there is hay put in it for the cows. The old hay is put under the cows for bedding. Sometimes the people hang holy water in the house for "Good Luck" The cows are tied with chains by the neck. the chains are bought in the shop. The horse and ass go into the one house. The horse is tied with a rope and bedded with straw. When oats is plentiful the horse and ass get some every day. Each Spring(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
