    The new League
    The new league is better far better than
    the old.
    Its members are all heroes patriotic
    true and bold.
    They never flinch but bravely stand
    upon the battle field;
    And for the cause of Ireland an Irish
    sword they wield.
    And who in all Kilglass to day more fit
    to fill that place of honour
    Than that young patriot the staunch
    and brave O'Connor.
    That name alone emprises you as a hero
    brave and true
    He is the chosen secretary of the
    Kilglass land league.

    Cline he is an honest man the farmers
    man is he,
    And thats the reason why we have
    chosen him our treasure to be.
    Upon his face there rests no shame of
    shadow or disgrace
    And the thoughts of his brave
