    recovering his senses almost at one, he turned tail and ran home so fast that it would take a trained runner to keep up with him.
    He leaped over hedges and ditches and every obstacle that came in his way. When he reached his home he bolted the door and went to bed.
    The "ghost" was no other that a local youth who dressed himself up in white. The man who got the fright was supposed to have rheumatism.
