    One thing only he was afraid of, and that was the Widows curse, he never evicted a widow, and her children, no matter how long she kept from paying him rent. If a tenant thatched his house, or white washed it, he immediately raised the rent, as that tenant was getting rich on his land.
    In the Spring and Autumn of every year, he went to England and spent the rents he gathered so tightly. In the end he died there ,and left all his property heavily in debt. After a time the Land Commission took over all the lands.
