  2. There are no monuments in our district except a headstone which was erected in 1920 on the spot where an Irish Volunteer was shot.
    Here is the story in brief of the incident. Three police were shot on the Four Mile House Road. This Volunteer was blamed as being one of the men who did the act and seemingly the "Black and Tans"
