There was a big sum of money in the house and the man knew it and he was thinking of how he would get the woman out of the room so as to get the money. After a time he thought it would be a good plan to throw the child into the fire and he did. When the woman heard the infant crying she knew what he had done, and she began to roar as loud as she could for help. When the help came the robber was gone and the child was burned to death, and the money was saved. Very soon after this all those customs died away, and now it is not to be had at all.- Collector
