  1. There lived a man and a woman together in a small hut in Roscommon. They were very poor. One day they said they would go to the fair to buy a goat. As they were going along the road they saw a woman sitting on a heap of stones nursing a child. She asked the woman who was going to the fair would she mind the child for a few minutes. The woman she would. She took the child and began to nurse her. After a while a man came along the road. He was the son of the woman who was minding the child before. He was a pickpocket and he thought that
