of rain. When the smoke goes up straight out of the chimney is a sign of fine weather. When a blue blaze is seen in the fire or when a bright circle is seen around the moon, or when the crows perch on low walls, or when the horse turns its back to a ditch, or when a dog starts eating grass, or when the cat comes and starts purring at the fire, or when the frog puts on a black covering all are signs of rain.
