    a purse of money on the ground, and when the robber went to lift it the soldier cut the head off him. He stuck the sword in the head and brought it to where he was lodging, when the old woman seen it she said it was her son's head, and she drowned herself shortly afterwards. She used to be seen every night after she dying without any head and she is to be seen yet every night between eleven and two o'clock. When their is any one to die in the village she is always heard roaring.
