    There is a wee trace of the house to be seen yet but if you didn't know where it was it would not be easy to find it. There are only a few steps and a few stones upon one another. O'Donovan Rossa was one of the Fenians. He was tried in Cork. He died later in America, and his remains were brought to Ireland to be buried.

  2. There lived in this Parish a great hero whose names was "Mick" Deasy. He was a native of the townland of Letter. He was a great bowler. He beat the all Ireland champion. Bill Bennett of Killeady. He won many a score after that. In nearly every score he proved victorious. Later he went to America where he resides at present.
