    There is a man living in the townland of Cloontymullan, about half a mile from where I live, named Frank Fannon, who relates the experience he had on a May morning about 40 years ago.
    He was returning, at about 4 o'clock from a friend's house on this May morning, and taking a 'short cut' through some fields, he passed close by the graveyard in Kilteevan As he neared the graveyard he was dismayed to see, at that early hour, a woman whom he knew going slowly towards the entrance of the graveyard and winding a ball of yarn
    He saw her enter the graveyard, but the hour being so early and the eeriness of being in such close proximity to the graveyard, he hastened away from the place, scarcely venturing to look back.
    This woman lived about 3 miles from the place and it is supposed she visited the graveyard for the purpose of procuring the hand of a dead person. By this means and other magic she was able to spirit away the butter from people when churning and it was noted afterwards that these people, although they had only one cow, they were able to
