    towards the island and there saw a boat painted snow white, in which sat three men drawing in pollock as hard as they could. They decided to row out there and when they put out their lines they immediately caught beautiful large fish.
    Just as they passed by the white boat they noticed that they knew none of the men.
    They had scarcely passed when it vanished out of their sight.
    "The Phantom Boat", cried the oldest man, and they seized the oars and with all their might pulled for the shore, but before they reached the cove they were making for, a great storm broke over them.
    They were flung by a mighty wave right up on the land, but none of them were drowned.
    It was fortunate that even one of them understood the significance of the appearance of the Phantom boat.
    To the west of this district there is a hill called "Knock-a-puca"
