  1. I see a great many travelling folk. Some of them have big caravan's or houses in which they sleep and live. Those in the caravan's are not so badly off; they sell chairs, nice tables, and many other things around the country. They also sell donkeys and goats.
    I see tinkers that mend tins and umbrellas and other things also. I also see "chimney sweeps" that sweep chimneys and "fortune tellers" who pretend to tell their fortunes.
    Some of the tinker class are very cross. They would want things and if you did not give them to them, they would get very angry and scold you. There are very poor old people that come and you would always try and give them something.
    They have a very hard life travelling around in the wet and cold and very often they are hungry.
