- When the wind is from the south it is a sign of rain. The sky gets black when rain is comming. A rainbow in the morning is a sign of rain and a rainbow in the evening is a sign of good weather. When the tide comes in high it is a sign of a storm. When the swallow is flying low it is a sign of rain. When the cat washes her face it is a sign of bad weather. The wind from the south is the worst wind of the lot.
