- On the night of the 26th of February 1923, a great storm arose, and two boats were driven on rock in the western coast of Skehanore.
The crew of each boat succeeded in getting safely out of the boats on the rocks.
One of the boats was a trading boat between Cork and Ballydehob, and it became a total wreck.
