  1. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are considered unlucky days on which to get married, also Lent, the month of May, and during Advent. A local custom is to bring a gift with them for the bride and bridegroom. A local custom is to invite the neighbours and relations. Another lucky sign is to hang and old shoe to the back of the brides car, when going to church, and also rice is thrown on them when they leave the church after being married.
