- Long ago the people used to make guns in the following way:- A hole is made in the middle of a branch of an elder tree, and got an other stick, and made a handle in the stick, and made the stick fit right in the gun. It would fire stones by shoving the stick in the hole of the branch.
Many boys make snares for catching hares and rabbits. They also make bird-baskets for catching birds in the Winter.
