The land in Greenmount for the best part is fertile but a great part of it sloping towards the sea is rocky. The people in every house in Greenmount have a full view of the sea and in this way the Greenmount houses are very nicely situated for the people in the Summer months. There is a road running from Greenmount Bridge and on one side of this road there is a river and on the other side there is a small wood. There is not much growth in this wood now as it was all cut away in former times.
