An Unpublished Song
“By the Vulcan beams of Flora As I rose one pleasant morn, Just as the hounds and horn Awake the frighted fawn...”
I
By the Vulcan beams of Flora
As I rose one pleasant morn,
Just as the hounds and horn
Awoke the frighted fawn,
The lark, she shook her wing
And turned her note so charming -

And the splendid young nurseries
In their majestic station .....
And the rippling, pure Spring water,
That flows from the top of Teadies,
Which gives such consolation
