  1. "It is said that Mag Gun threw a stone from Kinneigh, and it landed in Knockaneady (5 miles) His gold is hidden on a "bounds ditch" near a holly bush with in three fields of the public road between Carn and the Bandon river."

  2. "Má Grú" was a highwayman. He had a *place fixed for himself under a rock near the river. They call it "Carrig Ma Ghrú". He had built a shelter for himself, and when Jack Fehilly's cottage was building they came and they took the stones away with them. He had crooks inside to hang up the meat. They ought to be there yet. [Ahakeen: Dunmanway near Blackwater]
