At the athletic races held down at Cloghroe
Where he won the long jump without throwing off his waistcoat
Going twenty four feet every sweep he used throw
But in throwing off the weights there was a Dublin man foremost
But our Muskerry sportsman exceeded him still
And right through the field went a whole ringing chorus
