Co. Cork.
Meentinna means the big fire it was so called because the turf is very plentiful.
Some of the land is good fertile land and more of it is boggy and bad. - The name of my townland is Rockhill. The name of the parish is Rockchapel and the barony is Duhallow.
There are nineteen families in it. There are ninety people approximately in it.
The houses are farmers houses, one story high, and mostly all of them ironed, except three two storey high slate houses.
