  2. The Local Forge

    There are two forges in the parish of Rockchapel. The forges (is) are situated on the side of roads.
    The forge is a middle sized building with wooden walls and a ( th) wooden roof.
    The door is very high, it has no special shape. There is one fireplace in the forge. There is a big bellows in the forge.
    The smith uses a hammers, tongs, pincers and clip.
    The smith shoes horses, asses and jennets. He mends instruments required by the farmers.
    Forges are great centres for story telling.
    Smiths are very strong men.
