    There was several strong men long ago and some of them are still alive. Christopher Emperor who lived in Knockafurtig brought a sack of meal about three quarters of a mile on his back that is from Daniel Riordan's house in Knockanebaneto Keating's in Knockafurtig. Daniel Lane in
    Glounakeel won many prizes in running and in high jumping.
    Jeremiah Dd. Foley in Rockhill was a great runner and also for throwing weights, he won many prizes.
    Patrick Brosnan in Rockhill was a great mower he used mow two acres of hay in one day.
    Patrick J.Curtin in Glounacame was a good mower, he used mow two scythes of hay in one day.
    Patrick P. Curtin in Glounacame was a great stone thrower, William Deely in Rockhill was a singer and stepdancer.
