- A Collection of prayers.
As I lay down my head to sleep
To God I give my soul to keep,
And if I die before I wake
To God I give my soul to take.
There are four corners in my bed,
There are four angels overhead,
Matthew, Mark, Luke ana John
God bless the bed that I lie. on.
And if any evil spirit comes to me before I wake
May God direct me.
This prayer is said going to bed.Another prayer that is said going to bed is
Jesus dear the day is over,
Softly falls the evening dew. Before I close my eyes in slumber let me say good night to you.
Through this lovely day you've kept me free
free from trouble, free from care. Kneeling here before the Altar let me say my evening prayer.
Jesus dear, protect my father, Bless my loving Mother too. Keep my brothers free from harm Keep my sisters pure and true. Jesus dear I am growing weary, keep me safe all through the night. Send the angels bright to guard me(continues on next page)- Collector
