- A man named Mr. Callaghan long ago who lived west from Newmarket was walking with a another man around
a field in the front of the house one day, and what
should they see but a big ball of gold come rolling
down the field against them, and they went to one side and
lift it pass and when it went a certain distance it disappeared
and they went trying afterwards for it, but they could find
no trace of it. They were digging and digging for a week or more
but could not find it. The people of the locality say
that it must be somewhere in the field to-day.
