  1. The snow was about six feet deep so that the people could not travel long distances. The Watson's of this area were buried (& still are) in Knawhill graveyard, near Liscarroll, (Mallow) but during that great snow the remains of some member of the Watson's were taken, through the fields, to the nearest graveyard (at Balinakill, Milford)
