- (continued from previous page)wet a wet Sunday is expected. Grass, flowers & plants are not pulled on May Day. If you interfered with them the fairies or "Good People" would be on your back. The 13th day of the is not lucky.
- Extra: Wednesday & Friday are lucky days for applying remedies for ailments; the other days are not so lucky. Tuesday is lucky - to start building or any other kind of work & it is lucky to remove from house to house on Saturday.

- Extra: It is unlucky to begin ploughing or house building or to change from house to house on the 1st Monday of the month. Potatoes are planted between March 26th & April 19th. Otherwise they would not grow so well.
- On May morning farmers fear that a wicked neighbour (generally a woman) may come to milk their cows & thus derive the benefit of the fat of the milk for the year. It is supposed that evil people throw dead calves into the lands of their neighbours on May morning in order to bring misfortune on the owners' stock.
