- There is a well in Modeligo, Cappoquin Co. Waterford in the land of a farmer named James Cooney, which removed from its original position many years ago.
It is now in a place called Knockgarron, but was formerly on the land of a Protestant farmer named Healy. The latter had a horse which got blind, and he hearing from the people that they had been cured of sore eyes etc at the well, took the old horse around the well to cure him.
The horse got his sight. but Healy himself was struck blind.
Healy's land was in a place called Scart owned now by a farmer named O'Keeffe.- Informant
