- The Horse and the Donkey.
The horse is the most useful animal on the farm. Without the horse the farmer could not get on. The farmer depends on the horse to do the hard work on the farm such as ploughing, mowing, and harrowing. There are usually two horses on every farm in my home district. The horse has to be well cared and fed especially during the winter. He has to be put into a stable and has to be fed with hay, oats, and mangolds. He is left out in the field in summer and is left feed on grass. The horse has a cart and harness of his own and he can draw very large loads.(continues on next page)- Collector
