  1. The Local Forge
The local forge is situated at The Green of Corrogurm. It is the only forge in the district and is built convenient for the people. In this way a number of people come there to get their animals shod. The smith that works in the forge is Mr. Piggott.
Mr. Piggott’s people were smiths before Mr. Piggott himself. Five years ago he came to work in that forge.
The forge is situated near a cross-road and is also situated near a shop owned by Mr. Whelan. There is stream flowing near the forge and in this stream the people get the water for washing and for other purposes.
The roof on the forge is of timber and is very comfortable. The door of it is a horseshoe shape and is painted with red and yellow, or some showy colour.
