    him, so he began to pray for five shillings, and as he was not accustomed to praying, he prayed aloud and the priest heard him, so he put a half-crown into his pocket. When the man had left the church, he searched his pockets. He found the half-crown, but he said he would wait until he would get the other half-crown before he would spend it.
    Now the priest did not like to see the man spending the money on drink. So he followed him from the church, and he got a sheet and he put it over his head.
    The man had to pass through a grave-yard on his way home, and the priest knew this, and he hid behind a head-stone. He was not long in this position when he saw the man coming towards him, and he rose to his feet.
