    Lead is melted in an old spoon and each person pours a little of it into a pail of water through a widow's key. Many strange shapes result, and part of the fun consists of deciding what each portion represents.
    Cakes decorated with black eats and witches and barm-bracks containing the traditional ring, pea, and bean are seen on every tea-table as well as the usual nuts and apples.
