God." "Is there anything wrong, Tim?. "There is", Mary. "O what is wrong at all at all", said Mary? Tim could not answer for he fell into a deep swoon. After an hour Mary called Tim again. "Tim, a gradh, won't you have a cup of tea." "O Mary, leave me alone I am out of my senses." "O Tim, a gradh tell me what happened to you at all." "I will", said Tim just as it occurred. "l was coming along the road at Mile Bush when I was stopped by a cat three times and threatened. I beat him off twice but the third time he got fierce[?] and I got frightened. He asked me three times was my name Tim Cróinín, so the third time I said it was, and he said it was a good job I answered or I would never reach home. He gave me a message to bring. "And what was the message, Tim"? "He said to tell Moll Row that Nell Clang is dead." Now it so happened Tim's cat was resting on the frame of the table where Tim was sitting and out she walked putting a hump on her back, double the ordinary size and standing in the middle of the floor said quite plainly, "Mo chroidhe an diabhail, is Nell Clang dead?", walking out the door and never came back for nine days and nine nights. It was supposed that he was at the wake and funeral.
