    or suitable vessel, then the pudding was tied at the other end, and both strings joined to form a circle. The puddings were next placed in a large pot of water, and brought to the boil, then they were allowed to simmer for about half an hour. When cooked they were hung across a stick to drain. Before being eaten they were again heated or fried, the pudding if very large being cut into slices.
