    Sport - Tim Ahern, Dirreen, born in 1887, had championship of the world for hop-step and jump and a number of his prizes are in the house of his brother Wm. Ahern, Dirreen.
    He was 19 yrs of age when he got his first prize and he gave up competing when he was 35 yrs.
    He is at present in Kansas City.
