  2. Some time ago farmers in this neighbourhood used to take their corn to Limerick to sell it. On account of the long journey the farmers had to arise early in the morning, some times even before midnight on the time when they were going. This time a farmer by the name of Miller Protestant arose early and went on his journey. Just as he was coming near Adare, his two sisters who had been dead for sixteen years, appeared to him. They were dressed in white and they seemed to be angels to him. After a while they disappeared and he again continued his journey uninterrupted.
